Ömer Sarıgedik composes and creates sound environments for theater, dance and contemporary art.

He also develops his own solo projects devoted to electronic and concrete music, mainly using analog sampling methods: recorded sounds, vinyls, cassettes or micro-samples.  Manipulated and transformed by digital tools, these sounds are the material of the unique soundscapes he composes.

He is also a member of the group Yakaza Ensemble, a group of contemporary and world music and is co-director of Muzik Hayvani, one of the few independent labels in Turkey and remains very active on the independent scene Stambouliote.

He currently lives in France.
